The Mattox Mod Squad is an earned role for seniors who want more than a standard senior portrait experience.

This year, we are hand-selecting up to 18 seniors to represent the creative vision, energy, and standard of Mattox Studios. These seniors are visible, involved, and fully immersed in an experience designed to make senior year feel intentional, elevated, and memorable.

This isn’t for everyone — and it’s not meant to be.

WHO IT’S FOR

The Mattox Mod Squad is for seniors who:

  • Want a senior year experience that stands out

  • Are comfortable being visible and involved

  • Show up prepared, on time, and engaged

  • Enjoy being part of a close-knit group

You don’t need modeling experience.
You don’t need a massive social media following.

You do need to care.

WHAT BEING SELECTED MEANS

Being selected for the Mattox Mod Squad includes:

  • Early access to exclusive, studio-led creative shoots

  • Featured placement across Mattox Studios platforms

  • Priority involvement in special projects

  • A fully customized Senior Experience

With these opportunities comes expectation.
Participation and visibility are part of the role.

THE MOD SQUAD EXPERIENCE

Every Mod Squad senior participates in three core experiences:

Preview Shoot + Planning Session

This is where the year begins. During this in-studio session, we’ll photograph one outfit on a clean, simple background to create your first shareable images. We’ll also plan your full Senior Experience in detail, including locations, outfits, and creative direction.

A parent must attend this session.

Studio-Led Promo Shoots

These are exclusive, themed shoots available only to Mod Squad seniors. Each year’s concepts are different and designed to create standout images that don’t blend in with everyone else’s senior photos.

All promo shoots are planned and directed by the studio. Your job is to show up ready.

The Senior Experience

This is the most important session of all.

Your Senior Experience is a fully customized, 2-hour session with up to 3 outfits, planned entirely around you. Locations, styling, and overall vision are decided ahead of time so the experience feels effortless and intentional.

EXPECTATIONS

The Mod Squad works best when everyone is invested.

Members are expected to:

  • Attend scheduled shoots and meetings

  • Be prepared and punctual

  • Allow their images to be used for studio marketing

  • Participate when Mod Squad content is released

This isn’t about follower counts or posting quotas.
It’s about engagement and showing up.

HOW SELECTION WORKS

Applications open in January 2026 for the Class of 2027.

Because the Mod Squad is intentionally limited to 18 seniors, not all applicants will be selected. Applications are reviewed carefully, and final selections are made within approximately 30 days after applications close.

Selected seniors are notified personally and invited to a required in-person meeting at the studio. One parent must attend. This meeting ensures expectations are clear before acceptance is finalized.

INVESTMENT

The Mattox Mod Squad investment is $399, which covers all three experiences listed above.
