This week’s Senior Spotlight is all about Marley, a standout senior from Cottondale High School with big dreams and an even bigger personality!
Getting to Know Marley
Marley has a deep love for academics, especially English, which she enjoys so much that she plans to make it her career. She has also been an active participant in varsity softball and volleyball during her time at CHS.
Future Plans
Marley’s future is looking bright as she heads to Florida State University this fall to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in English. Her ultimate goal? To be accepted into FSU’s College of Law and continue building her future in Tallahassee. With her drive and passion, there’s no doubt she’ll make it happen!
Marley’s Senior Session Experience
When asked what she loved most about her session, Marley shared how comfortable Ash and Josh made her feel throughout the entire process. “It can seem super intimidating going into the experience, but the Mattox’s really have a way of making you feel your most confident. With encouraging words and incredible products, everything about Mattox Studios makes you feel beautiful.”
Most Memorable Moment
For Marley, the most unforgettable part of her session was shooting at Saint Andrew’s. Between the Blue Angels flying overhead, sailboats in the distance, and a breathtaking sunset, the atmosphere was nothing short of magical. “I was reminded that this is what it’s all about. I felt incredible and received some even more incredible products because of this shoot.”
A Pro Tip from Marley
Marley’s biggest piece of advice for upcoming seniors is to embrace the experience and not stress over perfection. “Going into mine, I was totally stressed about looking perfect. From hair and makeup to planning outfits months in advance, I tried to control every minuscule detail. However, once I learned that not everything is meant to be perfect, I enjoyed this experience more than I could have ever imagined. So, forget about perfection, let yourself make mistakes (especially walking), and smile! You’re on camera!”

She’s most excited about her Storybook. “Knowing that Josh constructed it completely reassures any doubt that it will be short of perfection.”
