Featured Photoshoot: Parker
The day before graduation is always electric — nerves, excitement, and a sense that the finish line is finally here. For Parker, it was all that and more, and we had the honor of telling her story in a way that felt true to her Auburn experience.
If you know Parker, you know she’s outgoing, quick-witted, and always ready with the perfect comeback. That made our back-and-forth banter during her session so much fun. Her parents reached out wanting her photos at Auburn, and the moment they mentioned it we were all in. What better place to celebrate earning an engineering degree than on the campus where she put in the work?
We started shooting first thing in the morning, when campus was basically ours. Walking across Toomer’s Corner without the usual crowd felt surreal — though I have to give Parker’s dad credit. He became the unofficial “traffic control” guy, pushing the crosswalk button again and again to keep the cars at bay while I got the shots.
Throughout the session, Parker switched up her looks, mixing casual outfits with her cap and gown. She looked incredible in every set, but one of my favorite moments was at The Gorrie Center, the building where she spent most of her college hours. For those photos, she pulled out her hardhat, a perfect nod to her Building Construction journey.
And Parker didn’t come alone. Her whole family was there to celebrate with her, including her brother Cooper (one of our current seniors!). Cooper doubled as my light stand assistant, and I’ve got to say, he handled it like a pro.
By the time we wrapped, the energy was contagious — you could feel how proud everyone was. Parker shared the photos the very next day, right alongside her graduation celebration. Seeing her excitement reminded me why we do what we do. It’s not just about portraits — it’s about creating moments that feel like milestones and giving families images that will carry these stories forward.
Parker, thanks for letting us be part of your Auburn story. You crushed it. Congratulations, Engineer!
