Our Mattox Mod Squad is more than just about getting senior portraits…It’s an amazing, new and exciting experience!
Each year we strive to up the game with new and exciting photoshoots! From traveling to new locations to meeting new friends we want you to have an unforgettable Senior Year!
So you want more details? Each year in January we open up the application to next years incoming class. This year 2024 Seniors will be applying. Once we close the application on January 31st at midnight we begin the process of sorting through applications. Since we get so many it takes us about 30 days to decide what applicants will be best suited for the program. We notify each person who makes the cut via phone or text (so take that phone off silent). The next step in the process is a Senior Model meeting at our studio. This meeting MUST be attended by you and a parent (no exceptions). During the senior model meeting we will give you every detail about the Mattox Mod Squad and the photoshoots you’ll be participating in!
First up!!! Each year we start out with a Preview Shoot and an in-person consultation for upcoming photoshoots. During this 15 minute mini session we shoot 2-3 different backgrounds that give you your first set of sharable images for social media! While you’re here we will plan ahead for your Senior Experience session (you’ll have all creative control for this one) and your Promo Shoot (yeah we’ll handle this one). Parents MUST attend this photoshoot and meeting.
Our 2023 Mattox Mod Squad were able to pick from photoshoots like Independence Day, Back to School, GQ, Vintage High Fashion, Project Beauty, Halloween, Peanut Fest and 80s Skate! We are looking forward to planning an exciting lineup for our 2024 Squad!
Last but not least! We can’t forget about your most important session…the SENIOR EXPERIENCE. During this 2 hour, 3 outfit session you’ll be able to express your true personality because it’s ALL ABOUT YOU. This session will be pre planned during your preview shoot so we know all the details from outfits to locations.

Does the Mattox Mod Squad cost anything? Yes, the fee to join is $299. This fee covers all three shoots mentioned above and is a worthwhile investment.
If I don’t join will you still do my senior portraits? FOR SURE! As a matter of fact in most years the Mattox Mod Squad only make up around 25% of the total number of seniors we photograph.
Do you offer payment plans when I order my senior portraits? Whether you're on the Mattox Mod Squad or a regular senior portrait client, we never want financial reasons to be why you can't be a part of the experience. We do offer payment plans for all our clients and if you ever have questions, all you have to do is give us a call.
How far in advance are the shoots planned? Usually 1-2 months out. Sometimes more than that. Whenever your shoot is scheduled be sure to write it down and don’t double book your day.
Do the “Promo Shoots” cost anything extra? Nope! Your Mattox Mod Squad fee covers all 3 of your shoots.
What happens if I can’t make my “Promo Shoot”? If you’re absent due to sickness we try as hard as we can to rebook you on another shoot. If you simply don’t show up or overbook your day we can’t be responsible for rebooking you on a future shoot.
How many people are on the Mattox Mod Squad? It vary’s year to year. Sometimes as few as 20, some years it’s been as high as 40.
